Sydney has a great passion for working with adults, children, and families. Her background working at an intensive outpatient substance abuse facility has given her a unique and empathic perspective that sets her apart as a therapist. Especially when it comes to working with adults struggling with addiction and distressed adolescents.
Sydney believes that you must first change the way you think in order to change your life. She helps her clients become not only mindful but aware of the positive aspects of life. She understands that new beginnings and change can be scary and painful, but they also provide teachable moments where one can discover their strengths amidst the struggles. Her compassionate approach towards providing a safe space empowers her clients, providing them with the skills they need to focus on their goals, as they progress, heal, and grow on their journey.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys watching movies. She is a big Marvel fan and loves to spend time with and spoil her cat.
Background & Approach
Sydney is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Her background is extensive and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing to accommodate each of her client’s unique needs working with adults and also children. She additionally has experience in play therapy techniques such as sand tray, puppet/doll play and interpretive drawing. Play Therapy is a child’s natural form of communication that reveals many hidden emotions for a child.
Specialties
Her knowledge working with children, as well as adults from traumatic backgrounds, anger issues, anxiety and developmental delays allows for her to work with the families as a whole to build stronger relationships between the parents and children. Sydney can provide your child with a safe space to work through their feelings and create positive change. She is also Cognitive Behavior Therapy certified, Gottman Level III Trained for child coaching and bringing baby home.

Sydney’s rates are based on the services you receive and will be discussed during your initial consultation. Payment is due at the time of the session.
