Specializations

Background & Approach

Before entering private practice, Maisha spent years working as a certified K–12 school counselor and college professor, supporting adolescents, parents, and high-achieving adults navigating stress, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Across these settings, she observed a common theme: people often know something isn’t working—but don’t yet have the tools to communicate their needs in a way that builds understanding rather than distance.

In sessions, Maisha offers a calm, grounded, and collaborative space. Clients are not rushed, fixed, or talked at. Instead, they are supported in increasing emotional awareness, identifying unspoken patterns, and developing practical communication skills that support long-term relational health. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and actionable, making therapy both supportive and effective.

In addition to her clinical work, Maisha is a contributing author to Shattering Stereotypes, a book focused on breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible through lived experience and honest storytelling. This same authenticity informs her counseling style—real, respectful, and rooted in growth.

You don’t need to become someone new.
With the right support, you can become more of yourself—while building relationships that feel steady, healthy, and real.

Note about insurance: Constantly Healthy Counseling & Coaching is a self-pay counseling practice. We believe you should dictate your treatment, not your insurance. By not taking insurance, we are empowering our clients, allowing them to choose who they see, how often they see them, and what type of therapy they’ll receive. Sydney’s rates are based on the services you receive and will be discussed during your initial consultation. Payment is due at the time of the session.
