Jay Taylor is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern and military veteran with more than 14 years of experience supporting individuals and families across healthcare, community, and service-based settings. He brings a steady, compassionate presence to therapy, shaped by his background in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marine Corps, as well as his extensive work in both physical rehabilitation and mental health care.

He is also a father to a 14-year-old daughter. In his spare time, Jay enjoys practicing martial arts, going to the beach, and traveling.

Jay holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern in the state of Florida. He has provided over 400 individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, working with children, adults, and families navigating emotional regulation concerns, communication challenges, relationship stress, anger management, depression, and life transitions.

His work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems approaches, crisis intervention, and strengths-based treatment planning. In addition to his clinical counseling experience, Jay has a strong background in physical therapy and kinesiology, which informs his holistic, mind-body approach to care.

Jay is skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration, and values helping clients build practical coping strategies that support both emotional and physical well-being. He is known for his calm demeanor, strong listening skills, and ability to meet clients where they are, offering thoughtful, respectful care that supports stability, clarity, and resilience.
