Meet Eric Wettstein
LMHC Lic# MH14617, Qualified Supervisor, Couples & Family Therapist
Eric Wettstein is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and couples and family specialist in Winter Park who has completed Gottman Method for couples level 3 training. He helps couples strengthen communication, navigate recurring disagreements, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection.
Eric deeply cares about his clients and has been helping people for over 25 years. His compassionate, whole-person approach considers how each partner’s experiences, stressors, and emotional needs influence the relationship. He helps clients feel heard and understood while developing practical skills for healthier relationships and lasting personal growth.
Background & Approach
Eric is a proud USAF veteran, who served his country for 8 years as an Aerospace Engineer. Because of his experience as a veteran, he understands the discipline and structure that is needed in a military career, but also the challenges and stresses in the field. Eric has also held positions as a Life Coach, Wellness Specialist, Health & Performance Consultant, and has worked with Cardiologists. This vast experience in many different fields gives Eric a very unique perspective that very few therapists would have.
As a couples specialist, Eric integrates Gottman Method techniques into a personalized approach to couples and marriage counseling. He helps partners recognize unhelpful communication patterns, understand the needs beneath recurring arguments, and practice healthier ways to respond to one another.
Through Gottman-based exercises, couples can build Love Maps to better understand each other’s inner world, strengthen fondness and admiration, and learn to turn toward everyday opportunities for connection. His approach also emphasizes starting difficult conversations gently, making repair attempts during disagreements, and managing emotional overwhelm so both partners can feel heard. These practical tools support stronger friendship, more constructive conflict, and shared meaning within the relationship.
In his free time, Eric enjoys reading and spending time with his family. He also has a passion for enjoying time out on the water, whether it’s boating or fishing.

Note about insurance: Constantly Healthy Counseling & Coaching is a self-pay counseling practice. We believe you should dictate your treatment, not your insurance. By not taking insurance, we are empowering our clients, allowing them to choose who they see, how often they see them, and what type of therapy they’ll receive. Eric’s rates are based on the services you receive and will be discussed during your initial consultation. Payment is due at the time of the session.
